Osvaldo del Campo, keynote speaker of the IP Week 2018

The President and CEO of Galileo will give his view on how Virtual Pipelines can reshape the LNG market and take stranded gas resources to consumers.

He will deliver his speech at the “The evolving role of gas as a cleaner fuel alternative” conference, which will be held on Wednesday, February 21st at 16.45, as part of the upcoming edition of the International Petroleum Week Conference and Exhibition (IP Week).

Organized by the Energy Institute, the IP Week brings together high-level industry figures and key thinkers on energy, helping senior leaders navigate the three big themes of the global transition under way: the low-price environment, climate change and the importance of staying ahead in technology and innovation.

This very rapid pace of change is challenged on all sides by opportunities and risks, such as the abundance and dispersion of new gas sources, which range from shale-gas to biomethane and turn the laying of pipelines to aid the growing demand for gas economically unsustainable.

In his session, Osvaldo Del Campo will explain how to break these barriers through a Distributed LNG Production model, where portable small-scale stations liquefy gas right at the source and LNG Virtual Pipelines match gasoline and diesel distribution logistics, connecting gas sources to their consumers at a lower cost than pipelines do.

For this new edition, the IP Week program will be held at the InterContinental Hotel London Park Lane, One Hamilton Place, London, W1J 7QY for three days, on Tuesday 20-Thursday 22 February, 2018.
