Cryobox-Bio is a fully integrated biogas upgrading, polishing, and liquefaction station, which provides you a +99% Methane Recovery Index. Its plug-and-play technology processes up to 880 standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) of raw biogas. Hence, it is now possible to monetize waste, providing clean Liquefied & Renewable Natural Gas (Bio-LNG*) fuel for transport, power generation, and the energy industry as a whole.

* Bio-LNG is the same as Liquefied Biomethane Gas (LBG) or Liquefied Biomethane (LBM)

Main features

Portable and plug-and-play
Focused on the fast delivery of Liquefied & Renewable Natural Gas (Bio-LNG) to the market, the plug-and-play configuration of the Cryobox-Bio features all the elements for its installation and commissioning. Only a concrete platform, electric power, compressed air supply, and Internet are needed.
Biogas upgrading system (ZC)
An integrated upgrading unit removes impurities such as water (H2O), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), carbon dioxide (CO2), and siloxanes. After an adsorption process, a three-step membrane filtration, and an amines treatment, the upgraded biogas stream flows into the polishing unit.
Biogas polishing system (ZPTS)
A molecular sieves adsorption process removes the remaining carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O), recovering more than 99% of the methane coming from the raw biogas stream.
Proprietary gas liquefaction technology
Its multiple-stage liquefaction cycle removes any inerts and is powered by a 490 kilowatts (kW) engine linked to a Galileo MX 400 Compressor. Once the biogas is upgraded to biomethane, it flows into the Cryobox-Bio unit where a process of compression, cooling, and liquefaction takes place. This process is a proprietary technology of Galileo Technologies and it can produce up to 1320 lb/min of Bio-LNG per unit.

The operation is completely automatized and monitored remotely 24/7 via Galileo Technologies SCADA system.

We help you to monetize your RNG

If you’re thinking about monetizing your RNG, we have the technology to help you take the next step. With our Virtual Pipeline, we can transport your RNG by truck in the form of Bio-LNG in cryogenic iso-tanks. We then regasify it at either fixed or mobile terminals for injection into natural gas pipelines or supply it to communities and industrial consumers. We can convert it into vehicle fuel at our Smart Stations for filling LNG and LCNG for all types of vehicle fleets (NGVs).
