LNG Division, Galileo’s new tech team

Galileo Technologies introduced their LNG Division, the new Tech Team to offer support to their small-scale LNG Distributed Production in dispersed wells in Mendoza and Neuquén, Argentina.

We introduce our LNG Division

LNG Division: Galileo’s small-scale LNG specialized team.

Featuring eight brand new 4×4 trucks, thirteen field technicians, an exclusive remote support team and six containers assigned to mobile offices and shops, the company gathered the team that will supervise the functioning of their Cryobox-Trailer liquefaction stations and the Virtual Pipelines routes that reach out to the Vaca Muerta area.

Besides doing the maintenance work, the LNG Division technicians will also provide customer assistance to the new ones who choose to replace traditional and expensive fuels with new fuels via the Virtual Pipeline.

“Galileo’s Anchoris gas-fired power plant is the main demander of the LNG we produce in our small-scale distributed wells, but we are increasing our capacity to satisfy the new incoming customers”, states Ricardo Krauze, Technical Service Manager.

The first name to arrive at the LNG clients list was Compañía de Saneamiento y Recuperación de Materiales S.A. (Comarsa), which adopted this fuel in their Loma Campana branch to reduce the pollutant emissions derived from the oil sector waste and the fracture sands final disposal.

From the well to the customer: LNG to increase penetration

The identified needs vary considerably “from LNG as a drilling equipment fuel to the gasification of dispersed communities”, stresses Ian Leonhardt, in charge of the development of Galileo’s new LNG projects.

LNG Division first roadmap

LNG Division first roadmap: Virtual Pipelines and on-site liquefaction operations supervision.

“Soon, our Virtual Pipeline trucks will be propelled by the LNG obtained from the wells, and they’ll represent the test case to catch the attention of the logistics and the cargo transportation markets”, states Leonhardt, referring to the costs reduction and the increase in environmental benefits from the adoption of this new fuel.
