Galileo promotes small-scale LNG at the AEF 2018
Gabiel Lorenzi, the Sales Vice President of Galileo Technologies for the African market, will give his view on how Distributed LNG Production and Virtual Pipelines can reshape gas-to-power projects in the region.
He will deliver his speech at the “Breaking boundaries with future innovative technologies” conference, which will be held on Friday, June 22nd at 11.00 AM, as part of the new edition of the Africa Energy Forum (AEF).
In his session, Gabriel Lorenzi will explain how a Distributed LNG Production model, where portable small-scale stations liquefy natural gas right at the well-head, and LNG Virtual Pipelines match the needs of distributed power generation projects.
This array of technological solutions is promoted by Galileo as Gas 3.0. In 2017, the company built in Argentina the first thermoelectric power plant fed by LNG sourced from wells that are not connected to any pipeline.
Operated by Methax, a Galileo Company, this new gas-fired power plant covers the needs of 125 thousand inhabitants, using over 200 thousand cubic meters (m3/d) daily of natural gas, which is sourced from well testing, flare gas reduction and abandoned wells.
